Dallas PD Never Let Chief David Kunkle Forget That Ticket Interview Either
Courtesy the Dallas Police Department
Never you mind those stories about how today's Dallas Police Chief David Kunkle's last day. Sure, April 30 was his original retirement date. But it's been pushed back -- surely you didn't think the city would go without a top cop till Tuesday, when Chief Designate David Brown will be sworn in at 3 p.m. on the shiny button. So we'll have an exit interview with Kunkle on Monday, which we'll conduct some time after 11 that morning -- once the No. 1 cop-for-now finishes a grueling DPD CrossFit workout named specifically for Kunkle.
It's called "The Commish."
Yes, confirms DPD spokesman Lt. Andy Harvey: This is where it got its name. I know, I know. That wasn't the question.
Update: As you can see, DPD's sent over some nice pics of the commissioner during a training session with his officers. Another follows. Now ... jump! How high, sir?
