Del Frisco's co-founder Dee Lincoln claims she's been getting a lot of marriage proposals lately--24, to be exact. Aside from the obvious, it's not hard to understand why. Lincoln is a good wife. A very good wife. Proof? She just bought her husband, insurance executive John DiNardo, a new toy: an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, the very first copy of the first 10 of these newfangled British sports cars to reach U.S. shores. There it was parked in front of Sullivan's Steakhouse last night, all sleek and curvaceously sultry, waiting to unleash a full-throated snarl through its impossibly sexy smirk.
"The V8 Vantage is a hand-crafted sports car that offers electrifying performance and outstanding agility," boasts AM propaganda. "The most affordable of all Aston Martins, it fuses traditional Aston Martin style and everyday usability." Which means you most likely can slip a putter in the boot. It also means $119,340. Anyway, there was the Aston. There was Dee. But where was the husband? My guess is she was hoping to do 100 before the night was over. --Mark Stuertz
