Far as you know, I will not be at DFW TrekFest this evening, which beams up 'round 6 in Grand Prairie. But, come Saturday morning, you may well find me at the recently rebranded Cinemark West Plano (formerly the Tinseltown), where they've gone ... extreme! Which is to say, Star Trek starts screening tonight in the new XD3 theater, with its wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling screen and wraparound sound -- and will ya just look at those seats.

Ah, and speaking of J.J. Abrams's Star Trek -- a reboot of which I am quite fond, nostalgic fanboy fetishes aside -- I've got 15 of the American Apparel tees you see above to give away to the good Friends of Unfair Park (10 mediums, five XLs). Trey Garrison and I have been attempting to come up with the appropriate trivia question for those in need of the T-shirt, which I hadn't seen till a box of them landed in my office yesterday. But, you know what? Anyone who'll wear this in public doesn't need to prove their Trek sincerity. Just e-mail me. First 15 win. Simple as that. And. Go.

Update at 1:43 p.m.: That's it. All gone. Mazel tov to the winners. Live long and ... well, ya know.

Update at 5:47 p.m.: I am in the process of getting a few more shirts. Should know tomorrow. If you're interested, drop me a line. I will see what I can do.
