In Canton, Is First Monday on Its Last Legs? Because Vendors Are Worried.
Maybe you're planning a trip over to Canton this weekend -- it is, after all, October market at First Monday Trade Days through Sunday. And, sure, you'll have to excuse some of the yee-haw-isms in the writing -- " Bubba Bennett, a heavyset seller of tanned cow hides, said he reckoned it is the worst he has seen in 38 years in the trade" -- but there's no obscuring the reality that for many, business is bad and getting worse every day. --Robert Wilonsky
