Liz Lemon Couldn't Get the Oprah Intro. But Please Welcome Dalton Sherman!
No doubt about it -- Dalton Sherman is the Dallas Independent School District's feel-good story of the school year and has been ever since his kick-off speech at the American Airlines Center in August. Two months later, the Charles Rice Learning Center fifth-grader found himself sitting opposite Ellen Degeneres, who gave him a free computer. But now, it's onto The Biggest Time, as Sherman awaits the introduction Tina Fey couldn't wrangle out of Oprah Winfrey. Yup, school board trustee Carla Ranger this morning has the news: On Monday, Sherman will appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show, which airs locally at 4 p.m. on WFAA-Channel 8. Yes, fine -- but when does he get the superintendent's job? --Robert Wilonsky
