First, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says quarterback Tony Romo is untouchable.
Now head coach Wade Phillips - who never addressed his team after last season and has been publicly silent since 2008 - says he hasn't talked just because, um, he hasn't wanted to.
So Jones wouldn't exchange Romo for, say, Peyton Manning or Ben Roethlisberger or Tom Brady or Larry Fitzgerald or ... ?
And Phillips was only kidding when at January's Senior Bowl he told reporters he couldn't comment because it was "against the rules"?
On second thought ...
I think I liked it better when the team's gag order was in place.
