A Friend of Unfair Park who knows of my affection for the American Basketball Association sends word: Yes, sorry, the Dallas Generals may be dead and buried (though it promises a resurrection for next season, whatever), but there's now a team based out of Denton called the Texas RimRockers -- and, yes, there was an old United States Basketball League team by the same name in Fort Worth before it was traded for a washing machine.

All right then. The team's holding tryouts this month; the first go-round was in Oak Cliff two weeks ago, matter of fact. There's a game May 1 against the Houston Asteroids. You read that right: RimRockers vs. Asteroids.
