Police Arrest Dallas Man for Wailing on a Convenience Store Clerk With a Hammer

Last week, Dallas police released a video showing a clerk at a Pleasant Grove convenience store being stabbed and beaten with a hammer.

The attacker then took an unknown amount of cash and walked nonchalantly from the store, leaving the clerk bleeding on the floor.

Police have now identified the man as 44-year-old Kirk Jackson of Dallas. He was arrested on an aggravated robbery charged and booked into Dallas County jail yesterday morning at 7 a.m. His bond is set at $282,000.

Police didn't include an update on the clerk, who was taken to Baylor hospital in critical condition.
