And, so happens, that was the year Texas had four reps in the Miss America Pageant: Miss Fort Worth (Mary Louise Kilman), Miss Galveston (Lucille King), Miss Houston (Edna Francis) and Miss Dallas. At last, my book cover! Now, all I need is a book.
