To say that rocker/maniac Ted Nugent is not a fan of Barack Obama would be something of an understatement.
Take this quote, which he screamed to fans at a concert while brandishing a pair of machine guns: "Hey Obama, you might want to suck on one of these you punk," adding that the president is a "piece of shit."
Then there was the time he called the president a criminal, "the enemy," and compared him to a coyote pissing on the living room couch. "It's not the coyote's fault," he concludes. "It's your fault for not shooting him."
All of which is to say that the Nuge probably isn't at the top of Obama's -- or the Secret Service's -- preferred guest list for Tuesday's State of the Union speech.
Then again, neither is Houston Rep. Steve Stockman, who, within a month of taking office, compared Obama to Saddam Hussein, threatened to impeach him, and earned the honor, bestowed by Mother Jones, as the "nuttiest freshman in Congress."
Stockman was duly elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, so his spot is reserved. And he announced today that his guest in the House Chamber for the evening will be Nugent.
"I am excited to have a patriot like Ted Nugent joining me in the House Chamber to hear from President Obama," Stockman said in a press release. "After the Address I'm sure Ted will have plenty to say."
