Whilst looking for something entirely unrelated on PACER this morning I came across the latest handwritten court filing by none other than Jonathan Lee Riches, from whom we last heard way back in January '08. The suit -- which names, among others, Cuban, Carmelo Anthony, Jerry Buss and Jerry Reinsdorf -- was filed a few days ago in federal court in Denver, and a judge, poor guy, is currently trying to decide what to do with it. Why someone hasn't collected Riches's myriad lawsuits in a book remains a mystery. (Above the Law has, however, collected many of his filings over the years.) I wouldn't dare spoil the story of how Cuban actually financed his efforts to buy the Texas Rangers, which follows.
