This time around, the Canadians have asked SMU political science prof Cal Jillson -- the print journalist's go-to guy for all things political -- for his preview of Thursday night's veep debate, wherein Joe Biden will try not to say anything crazy and Sarah Palin will try not to say anything. Jillson, though, does crack a funny: "I think that most people looking at Thursday night's debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin are nervous, especially Republicans. Because 90 minutes is a very long time -- and you can only talk about gutting a moose once during that debate." No doubt, they loved that joke in Canada. --Robert Wilonsky
