There appeared this morning the story that Tom Hicks was looking to score yet another soccer team -- AS Roma, to be precise. Well, hold everything: Moments ago came word that Hick is not looking to buy AS Roma. At all. "There is absolutely no truth whatsoever in the rumor that Mr. Hicks is even considering investing in Roma football club," says Hicks' spokesman, Roy Winnick. On the other hand, now's the time to start spreading the rumor that Hicks is selling the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars. A boy can dream, can't he? --Robert Wilonsky
