If you’ve spent any amount of time in Addison at all, you know that it’s a perfectly nice town with a lot of office buildings, apartments, and a ton of restaurants — chain restaurants, to be more specific. Of course, there’s a lot of backlash around the chain restaurant these days, and in some ways, deservedly so. Still, while buying local is very virtuous and all, chains serve a purpose. They don’t give you crap about splitting checks between five ladies with five credit cards; they allow for an affordable night out; and nobody at Chili’s is going to give you the stink-eye when you bring a toddler in there.
