As a high-spirited 6-year-old, Ananda Tiller was told by a gurukula teacher that she was a prostitute and would be reincarnated as a tree, much like the one growing at the Dallas temple.

The Hare Krishna movement still employs the Sunday feast--this one, in the Dallas temple--to recruit devotees.

Dallas attorney Windle Turley represents 91 plaintiffs who are suing the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) for $400 million, alleging severe physical, sexual, emotional and spiritual abuse.
