Tom Dunning says he won't be "out-potholed." He may be wrong about that.

Dunning is personable one-on-one, stiff as a board on the campaign trail.

The Reverend Charles Stovall says Laura Miller gave a Southern Dallas coalition the clear impression she will help protect police Chief Terrell Bolton. A police union official got the opposite impression from her.

Former council member Jim Buerger looks on while Miller and Dunning kiss at a debate. Oh, yuck.

Miller, famous for caustic barbs when she was at the Dallas Observer, has been nicey-nice on the stump. Barbara Dossett, bottom, loves the tough streak in Miller. Miller is her Rudy Giuliani.

Dunning says Miller is the city's best politician. Domingo Garcia says the city's best politician is Miller's husband, Steve Wolens (who helped her up the steps to announce her campaign). Oh, double yuck.
