Brace yo' selves: This weekend's charging out of the gate with two fashion shows, a boozy tattoo party and underground art. Oh, and did someone say there was a football game on Sunday? DON'T PANIC. We've broken it all down for you.

Find the details by clicking the event's titles, and make sure you share this list with your favorite party gang -- it's never too early to make a plan. I'll see you out there. (I'll be the one cheering irrationally loud for Beyoncé.)

Thursday, 1.31 Phantasm at Basement Gallery -- If you like breakdancing, art and burgers, you'll want to make an appearance at the Basement Gallery (formerly Underworld Gallery) tonight. That's when Penny Kim, mig L Barjas and Rondo Estrello bring your photographs, acrylics and beats from the flip side. World Champion pop locker, Poppin' John, breaks it down in slow-mo at 10 p.m. Fashion Cited, Little Black Dress Party -- Coco believed that every women should have one, and Fashion Cited agrees. Tonight the group takes over Conduit Gallery for a fundraiser challenge where local fashion designers show off their best basic cocktail wear. You can vote for your favorite, then the winner gets honored at the main event on March 28th. The evening is really about more than frocks, because while the fashion will be fabulous, your ten dollar ticket goes to Legal Hospice of Texas. That's a pattern we can all agree on.

Sassy Pants Screening with Filmmaker Q&A -- "I aspire to be part John Waters and part John Hughes," said filmmaker Coley Sohn to the Observer. Her new film, flushed out of an earlier short, gets a local screening on Thursday, thanks to Women in Film Dallas. An Evening with Fur Faced Boy at Public Trust -- Ha Mai, the human behind the hairy handle, wasn't always a captain of industry. Nope, he used to be a normal employee, just like the rest of us. But then he took the plunge, started his own brand and launched a career of self-bossing. He's going to rap about the transition, answer questions and sell a totally bitchin' limited edition Public Trust collaboration t shirt tonight at 7 p.m. Drumline Live! -- Every good southerner knows that a football team is only as strong as its drumline. This touring production features the most spectacular, flashiest, out of sight drumliners from around the country and gives them an all-star showcase. Yes, that IS awesome.

Friday, 2.1 Texas Next Top Designer's Announcement Gala -- This event is what professionals call "A Big Deal." After weeding through hundreds of submissions, this evening of Texas-raised fashion shows us ensembles by the top 17 in a catwalk throwdown. When it's all over, we'll find out who wins the title, grant money and assistance needed to make their collections, collectable.

For the duration of Friday's Drinks and Inks affair, you'll also get facetime with tattoo art legend Corey Miller, all kindsa drink specials and music by DJ Ravidrums and Spoonfed Tribe. It's free, folks. Viva Dallas Presents Mardi Gras! -- Those ladies at Viva Dallas Burlesque are much too good to you. At Saturday's Repair Day, you can get a complimentary tune up while hanging with other peddle powered folks and drinking free beer. Not bad. Not bad at all.

The Harlem Globetrotters -- Still the greatest team of misfit pranksters ever to pants a referee, the Harlem Globetrotters are back in Dallas and this time You Make The Rules! (Their words, not mine.) Go to their website and pick your prank! Two balls? Fine! Outnumbered Globetrotters? They'll take it! Then sit back, snort laugh, and watch the hi-jinx ensue at the American Airlines Center.

Hedwig and The Angry Inch Party and Singalong -- Texas Theatre is in love with costume parties, which is fine because we like seeing you in a wig, Dallas. This weekend's wardrobe challenge ties in with its current throw-back offering, the 1991 musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Personally, I'd go as a toppled Wall of Berlin.

Sunday 1.3 Just Be Normal and Watch the Superbowl, Okay? -- Nobody likes a hero, or rather, somebody who on Monday morning says "I didn't see the commercials because I don't have television." Yeah, great. You know what you do have? Access to every bar in town and they're ALL SHOWING THE SUPER BOWL. It's true. I called them.
