All’s fair in love, war and the quest for the Shiva, or at least that’s the takeaway from the FX’s series The League. The semi-improvised comedy focuses on the dysfunctional lives of six friends who spend more time sabotaging each other than actually learning about their fantasy football rosters. Season Four just kicked off, and to add a little booster support the cast has set off on a national tour and it’s stopping at the Majestic (1925 Elm St.) on Saturday. Most of the gang’s going to be there: Ruxin (Nick Kroll), Kevin (Stephen Rannazzisi), Andre (Paul Scheer) and TACO (Jon Lejoie)! Wait, ... no Jenny? Figures. At SXSW two years back, The League corrupted the Emo’s annex stage for a comedy showcase. The format fluctuated between stand-up, group improv and a little bit of sketch comedy, and they followed a similar pattern at Bonnaroo last year. That’s great news: It means that you’ll get a buffet of inappropriate humor served up in every available format. Tickets cost $33.50 after taxes and fees. Get them at ticketmaster.com.
