Yeah, he’s the one that you want — that Grease Lightning guy. You’ve been there, sang that and worn the skintight black spandex, but why not relive it again? Join the Texas Theatre when it presents a special sing-along, 35mm-print version of the 1978 classic Grease. Starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John as bad boy Danny and sweetie pie Sandy, who go gaga for each other amid high hormones, teen angst and false rumors. Don’t forget that potty mouth Kenickie and the supposed school slut named Riz. There’s a few toe-tapping and finger-snapping moves in there too: “Look at Me, I’m Sandra Dee,” “There Are Worse Things I Could Do,” “Hound Dog” and “Blue Moon.” Go get ’em, greaser. Screening takes place 7:15 p.m. May 2 and 3 at the Texas Theatre, 231 W. Jefferson Blvd. For more information, call 214-948-1546 or visit thetexastheatre.com.
Thu., May 3, 7:15 p.m., 2012
