For native Dallas residents, and even transplants and/or former residents who have since moved away, the St. Patrick's Day Parade is an institution that is as much a part of the city's identity as the State Fair. And this year, the time-honored tradition will snake it's way through the streets of Dallas again. For those who want to gear up for a day of beads, beer and the color green, there's no better way than to run in the St. Paddy's Day Dash Down Greenville this Saturday. The 5K Race and Fun Walk will start at Central Market, 5750 E. Lovers Lane at Greenville Ave., at 8:30 a.m., and should wrap up just in time for the parade to start. Interested participants can register online at GetMeRegistered.com or at any Metroplex Run On! location. The entry fee is $25, or $30 on race day, all proceeds benefit the North Texas Food Bank.
