Welcome to another edition of Geek-Offs, where you'll find the perfect distractions to help you muddle your way through hump day each week.
If you're anything like us (and we know you are), you spent hours upon hours playing Portal. Whether you were drawn in by the puzzle aspect of the game or you just wanted to hear what GLaDOS would say next, it quickly made The Orange Box a top seller and Portal 2 was one of the most anticipated releases of this past year. Well, since your console is at home and you're probably not allowed to access your Steam account from work, we bring you Invertion, a fun Portal-influenced game by HighUp Studio.
In this fun Flash formatted platformer, you have to work your way through the twenty-plus levels with just your wits and a cute little clone or two to help you on your way. Nary a portal gun in sight, you're stuck with the basics (running, jumping, button mashing) but you'll get some extra treats including the ability to screw with gravity as well as some cloning power, giving you the necessary robot co-conspirators to make it through the levels. Avoid the spikes and lasers and tweak gravity to your side as you learn that sacrificing your robot buddies may be the only way to survive. Too bad you can't throw P-Body to his death this easily in co-op Portal.
