Photography has always been a secret love of mine. I've spent hours looking at photos trying to figure out what the photographer or subjects were thinking at the exact moment the picture was snapped. Were they were pondering quantum physics or maybe the latest Lindsay Lohan debacle? Either way, it still has me guessing. During the month of February, the Irving Black Arts Council will present its annual Images Captured by the Lens exhibit of photographs from six African-American photographers celebrating Black History Month. To explore the photographer's mind visit the Irving Arts Center (3333 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Irving). Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays and Fridays; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays.
