Now if that don't sound like literature to you, why don't you head back to New York where you came from? Out here in Texas, we honor romance fiction. In fact, we are "The Voice of Romance." When I say we, I mean the Romance Writers of America, formed in Houston in 1980 by 37 romance writers who were sick and tired of being treated like second-class citizens by the New York literati. Today, we are the largest writers association of our kind in the world. Nine of us will be at the Preston/Royal Borders at 7 p.m. on Thursday to sign our books and talk about throbbing shafts, tingling loins and sweet, sweet kisses. Call 214-363-1977.
