Have you ever ruminated over the unending flow of information streaming from a printing press? Ever thought the solitude of train passengers was truly beautiful? Probably not--and that's why Mike Osborne is a celebrated artist and you aren't. If you want to appreciate a unique point of view and pore over poignant photographs, Osborne's exhibition Papers and Trains will lead you on a visual expedition you won't soon forget. Osborne takes observers on a conceptual tour of printing facilities in the U.S., Taiwan and Germany, then leads them to a collection of subterranean rail stations. His work is featured in both the Austin Museum of Art and the Dallas Museum of Art, and he has a full exhibition tour planned for 2010. Catch him while you can at the Holly Johnson Gallery Saturday through February 12. For more information, call 214-369-0169 or visit hollyjohnsongallery.com.
