It was the "slut" heard 'round the world: Back on Leap Day, you'll recall, talkshow host Rush Limbaugh famously criticized [read: slandered] a Georgetown University law student named Sandra Fluke, calling her a "slut" after she testified before congress about the need for insurance companies to cover birth control.
Limbaugh would eventually sort of apologize, prompting a shitstorm of hilarious rebuttals, such as this one featuring the world's most mesmerizing mustache:
We doubt she'll be half as irreverant, but we were interested to hear that SMU's Women's and Gender Studies Program, with support from the Embrey Family Foundation, Dedman College and the Office of the Provost, has invited Fluke to speak on Contraception, Women's Health and the Media on September 24 at McCord Auditorium on the SMU campus.
