What's scarier than a monster in your closet? How about an oversized monster prancing around an ice rink on razor-sharp steel blades? I am always the first to doubt that a chilled, choreographed fairy tale redux will entertain the kids, but Disney on Ice continues to prove me wrong. Now the characters from Monsters, Inc. are joining in the fun, dancing their way into the hearts of area youngsters with the help of some special effects and acrobatic flair. The adventure begins when citizen monsters Mike Wazowski and James P. "Sully" Sullivan encounter a human child who has crawled through her closet door into the parallel universe known as Monstropolis. In their efforts to return her to her bedroom, the pair uncovers the dastardly plans of fellow factory employees and must fight to save themselves (and the girl) from imminent doom. Want to know the scariest part? Keep paying for those figure-skating lessons and one day, if you're lucky, your little wonder will grow up to wear a furry costume of her own.
