You know how, even if you have been to a venue before, looking at those damn seating charts and trying to pick what seat you want is fairly useless, unless you can get front-row center. And if you're picking season tickets for something, the decision can be downright nail-biting. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra has a great remedy for just this problem, and they've combined the opportunity with all sorts of great stuff--all of it for free! From 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Meyerson, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra holds its first-ever free open house, including a meet-and-greet with Jaap van Zweden and DSO musicians, live musical performances, an organ demonstration, ticket giveaways and more. Guests are encouraged to move freely from seat to seat during the performances, allowing them to experience the Meyerson from different vantage points. All seats will be clearly marked with available subscription package information for the 2009-2010 season. The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center is located at 2301 Flora St. Call 214-692-0203 or visit dallassymphony.com.
