In a city fueled by fashion there are few runway shows featuring work by independent designers. The Pin Show, an annual worship service to all things glamour, mends that tear in our city's style coverage. After taking a one-year hiatus, the garment fete is back and packed with more enticing options than a Kardashian's closet.
Thirty-five designers will send their most salivation-worthy collections down the catwalk in the luxurious Fairmont Hotel's Regency Ballroom on Thursday evening to a projected audience of 1,800. Putting together a production of this size isn't easy, but the small, dedicated army of curators has been laboring for months tweaking each look into cheeky perfection. While some swishy, puffier lines will appeal to Dallas' young and vibrant party-going caste, others like the rhinestone-dripped floor-dusting sheers by Status will cause a collective lustful sigh from the chests of Dallas' more refined. Standing-room tickets are reasonable at $18, a seat will run you $30. VIP options are also available, and all can be purchased at thepinshow.weebly.com. The Fairmont Hotel is located at 1717 North Akard St. The show begins at 8 p.m.
