I know, I know...you're disappointed that the Jerryworld Tennis Classic has been unceremoniously canceled, your credit card has been credited back the small fortune you forked over to observe the insane acoustic abilities of Maria Sharapova's grunting and no explanation has been given (WTF, Jerry?). But you'll be OK. Because while you won't have the opportunity to park three miles away and make a trek to Cowboys Stadium that will make you feel like you've just gone a few rounds with Andy Roddick, you can still catch some quality tennis in the DFW area during the same time period. The USTA Grapevine Women's $50,000 Tennis Classic features pro-circuit players battling it out to qualify for the U.S. Open. And while you won't see any marquee names during these matches, you will see some of the best young talent in tennis today...these are your future Williams sisters, except with better fashion sense. Tickets to the matches are a bargain, too. Daily matches run between $5 and $8, semi-final matches are $15, and finals tickets are $20. You can get a pass for the entire week for $65. The tournament runs through Sunday at the Hilton DFW Lakes, 1800 Highway 26 East in Grapevine. For more information, including schedules and ticket sales, visit hiltonDFWtennis.com.
