No, not the Dallas Observer (we wish!). Dallas' lovely Perot Museum of Nature and Science launches a partnership this summer with The National Geographic Society. The official announcement of exactly how cool this partnership is going to be arrives next week, but for now they've released a few details and an adorable video of baby pandas.

Effectively, the partnership is one of branding. Both companies can now claim association with one another, which means that the thousands of young visitors to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science will be introduced to Nat Geo, earth's biggest advocate since 1888. On the flip side, lovers of Nat Geo now have another reason to visit the Perot Museum.

More importantly, it gives the Perot access to the largest giant-screen film library in the world, which includes oodles of 3-D movies. And if you haven't visited the Perot's Hoglund Foundation Theater, the summer film line-up will be a good reason to swing by.

Pandas: The Journey Home 3D There's almost nothing cuter than a baby panda. As the beloved Chinese bears struggle to survive in the wild, a few good humans are going to great efforts to secure their home and National Geographic caught it all on film for Pandas: The Journey Home 3D. After years of captive breeding, panda bears are being re-introduced to the wild and the first interactions with their natural environment will make you laugh, cry and let out unintentional exclamations of "aaw." (I've got the trailer looping in my cubicle.) See it at the Perot beginning May 24.

Non- Nat Geo movies:

Flight of the Butterflies 3D If you're like me, you had no idea Butterflies migrate just like birds. No need to look dumb any longer, see the Monarch Butterfly's journey south for the winter in this new 3D film. If you need more convincing watch the above trailer. It looks amazing. Opens May 24.

Dinosaurs: Giants of the Patagonia 3D Dino lovers don't need convincing to visit the Perot museum. But here's another enticement. This new flick gives you a 3D glimpse into a time when dinos roamed the world, with its combination of computer animation and real footage. Opens May 24.

More info to come (and hopefully more baby animals). Visit perotmuseum.org for showtimes and tickets.
