There's no doubt that the four-letter "f-word" is taking over television. It's everywhere you look: in prime time, on reality shows, on morning talk shows and on late night. Hell, it even has its own network, and both men and women love watching it. Audiences everywhere are eating it up. We're talking food, people. If you're on the gastronomy bandwagon (and you'd be crazy not to be), maybe you've even leafed through an issue of Gourmet magazine or read over the harshly honest critiques in The New York Times. Author and food critic Ruth Reichl has worked at the top of both publications, and will bring her expert opinion to The Adolphus Hotel, 1321 Commerce St., this Wednesday. At an 11:30 a.m. luncheon, she'll present and discuss her book For You Mom, Finally. Then, at 7:30 p.m., Reichl will present her work at "A French Room Experience." Reichl is truly a force to be reckoned with in the world of culinary arts and she'll offer a depth of insight based on her expertise in the industry. The luncheon is $69 per person and the dinner is $175, which includes a copy of the book. For reservations and more information, call 214-742-8200 or 214-651-3515.
