Diva Barbra Streisand is famous for her song about people who need people. One of the people she has needed is Marvin Hamlisch, her former concert tour director and manager. Suffice it to say, Hamlisch knows a thing or two about Babs. So we imagine he'll know what he's doing when veteran Broadway performer Julie Budd performs the songs of Streisand under his direction with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. The Barbra Streisand Songbook begins at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bass Performance Hall, Fourth and Calhoun streets in Fort Worth. Admission is $29 to $99. Call 817-665-6000 or visit basshall.com.
Tue., June 13, 8 p.m.
