Cannelloni. Canteen. Canada. Cantankerous. Canoodle...there's just a whole heck of a lot you can do with a can including canstruct a world without hunger. At least that's what Canstruction Inc. hopes to do. Canstruction Inc. is a foundation of the Society for Design Administration. Competing teams made up of architects and engineers design giant sculptures made entirely out of canned foods to raise money to feed the hungry. Last year's winners included sculptures of a mermaid, a peeled banana and a cobra. From Saturday till October 21 you can see the giant can sculptures on display at Northeast Mall in Hurst, 1101 Melbourne Road. The awards presentation will be held at the mall from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday. For more information call 817-377-2969.
