There are a few movies that you know you should see, that you need to see, but you're just a little afraid. You can handle gorefests with ghosts, demons and giant killer crocodiles, but what gets you more are the horrors of real life. Sometimes we tend to shy away from seeing the awful truth—seeing the brutality that humans can inflict on each other is disturbing and heartbreaking. Terry George's Hotel Rwanda is a film that waves that horror right in our faces, all while Don Cheadle tries to convince us that it will all be all right—relatively speaking. Refreshments will be served as Texas Christian University's KinoMonda World Film Series screens the film at 6:30 p.m Wednesday in the Sid Richardson Lecture Hall 4 at TCU. Admission is free. Call 817-257-7292.
Wed., Feb. 7, 6:30 p.m.
