You probably already have a tyrannical woman, an emasculated man and an opinionated old lady in your life, but the Bath House Cultural Center wants you to spend $20 to see Edward Albee's The American Dream and The Sandbox, anyway. Both satirical pieces about American home life, Albee's two plays follow a terrible married couple and an old woman. The American Dream sees the couple receive the twin brother of their adopted son, an awkward reunion since they murdered their son out of disappointment years ago. In The Sandbox, the couple leaves an old woman for dead until the angel of death shows up disguised as a young man. At least the couple managed to skip all that messy lamb's blood business. The shows run Thursdays through Saturdays through Oct. 23 at the Bath House Cultural Center, 521 E. Lawther Dr. For tickets, call 214-675-6573 or visit wingspantheatre.com.
Thursdays-Saturdays. Starts: Oct. 7. Continues through Oct. 23, 2010
