Cirque du Soliel’s KOOZA inspires gasps, heart palpitations and quotes like, “Son of Zeus, how did he do that?” But KOOZA is more than a natural defiance of the human musculoskeletal system, it’s also a show that’s “presented in a colorful mélange that emphasizes bold slapstick humor.” That’s right: It’s funny. But less “ha ha ha” and more “waka waka waka.” Now on to KOOZA Surprise Number Two — there’s a plot. Seriously. The performance describes the tale of “The Innocent, a melancholy loner in search of his place in the world.” Like whoa. Final KOOZA Reveal? For one show only, the sale of 500 tickets benefits Promise House, an organization that offers support to homeless, runaway and at-risk teens. That performance takes place 8 p.m. Friday under the Grand Chapiteau, Lot E at 500 Memorial Drive downtown. Tickets are $125 and available now at promisehouse.org.
