Three inevitable things in life scare the bejeezus out of me, as a woman in her mid-twenties: crows feet, gravity taking over certain body parts and menopause. Of course a little plastic surgery can take care of the first two, but I really don't want to come out looking like Kenny Rogers. I would rather just find the fountain of youth. As for menopause, instead of loading up on books to understand why I feel like hell as taken up residency inside my body, I can watch Menopause The Musical to be informed on this life-changing experience. This play follows four different women encountering memory loss, chocolate binges, too much sex, not enough sex and day-to-day challenges. Menopause The Musical runs through September 27 at The Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Drive in Richardson. For more information, visit eisemanncenter.com or call 972-744-4650.
Wednesdays-Fridays, 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays, 2 & 5:30 p.m. Starts: Aug. 7. Continues through Sept. 27, 2009
