It's not too often that life's most talented people live long enough to celebrate 50 years of hard work. In fact, most are taken way too soon. James Dean was 24 when he died in a car accident. Heath Ledger died at 29. But all bummers aside, there's still some hope left. Nine-time Tony award-winner Tommy Tune is celebrating 50 years of talent by headlining Lyric Stage's 2010 CABARET, an annual fundraising event that includes a silent and audible auction before and after the show. One of Hollywood's finest performers, Tune is known for not only performing in musicals such as My One and Only and Seesaw but also for his directorial and film skills. CABARET takes place at Carpenter Performance Hall, 3333 North MacArthur Blvd. on January 23 at 8:15 p.m. Tickets are $50 to $125.
