The film Slumdog Millionaire didn't go over so well in my world. I was excited to see it, and I liked it and all, but then my stupid boyfriend and I had a huge fight over whether or not we should stay in the theater to watch the big choreographed dance scene during the credits, and we ended up breaking up because of it. I mean, he said it counted as the credits since the credits were rolling, but I was like, no way, it counts as part of the movie! Hopefully things will go more smoothly at Bar None XXIV: Scumbag Billionaire, this year's version of the annual musical variety show sponsored by the Dallas Bar Association. Although named for the movie that caused me so much grief, the show is actually a chance for Dallas lawyers, judges and other legal professionals to use song, dance and comedy to mock the legal profession. And it's for a good cause, as proceeds from the show benefit the Sarah T. Hughes Diversity Scholarships at SMU's Dedman School of Law. The show runs through Saturday at the Greer Garson Theatre at SMU, 6100 Hillcrest Ave. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.
