Entertaining people over the holidays really just creates an opportunity for disaster. Someone could get drunk and naked, the decorations could catch on fire or, worst of all, your souffle could go flat. So, why not ease some of the stress that goes along with planning a holiday meal by taking pointers from the experts? Chef Stephan Pyles is teaching a holiday entertaining cooking class at Stephan Pyles, 1807 Ross Ave., Suite 200, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, and I recommend you be there. Chef Pyles will demonstrate a four-course meal or holiday buffet, complete with wine and beverage recommendations. You'll also learn recipe techniques from the restaurant, along with tips inspired by Pyles' personal travel experiences. The class is $95 per person. For reservations, call Randall McGehee at 214-999-1229, ext. 112, or e-mail [email protected].
