If you are the kind of person who either A.) likes unconventional holiday outings or B.) has a Clark Griswold complex and is constantly in search of things for the whole family to do together, the Gaylord Texan Hotel and its annual ICE! attraction is right up your alley. This year, the exhibit (if you will) features the sculpted ice depictions of Charlie Brown and friends straight from Charles Schultz's A Charlie Brown Christmas. All of the statues are carved from over 2 million pounds of ice by guys who traveled all the way from China this year for the sole purpose of carving Peppermint Patty's likeness out of a big chunk of frozen water. That alone is reason enough to don the fashionable coat provided and shiver from head to toe just to see what Snoopy's doghouse looks like when hewn from ice. The exhibit runs through January 3, 2011. However, to get the chance to freeze your butt off for an hour, it will cost you. Adult tickets range in price from $20 to $25, depending upon the day you go, but kiddos 3 and younger are admitted free!
