Symphony Brings A World of Joy

Holiday events require all hands on deck, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s festivities are no different. Through December 18, it’s one of the busiest organizations in town, delivering a packed schedule of holiday music featuring multiple choirs, guest conductors and special activities. Holiday events require all hands on deck, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s festivities are no different. Through December 18, it’s one of the busiest organizations in town, delivering a packed schedule of holiday music featuring multiple choirs, guest conductors and special activities. A World of Joy is a new show featuring the Dallas Symphony Chorus and the Christmas Celebration Children’s Choir and, if our sources are to be believed and the North Pole accommodates, a visit from Santa. Deck the Hall starts with a Santa Claus Photo Booth, instrument petting zoo, magic shows and more, and leads into a special concert of holiday classics. A World of Joy is at 7:30 p.m. with 2:30 p.m. performances on December 11, 17 and 18, and 7:30 p.m. shows December 10, 15, 16 and 18 and Deck the Hall starts with free activities at 9:30 a.m. followed by a performance at 11 a.m., December 10 at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, 2301 Flora St. Tickets for Christmas Celebration are $38-$85. Tickets for Deck the Hall are $19-$39. Call 214-692-0203 or visit dallassymphony.com.
