What's the perfect present to give someone you hate? Um, how about tickets to both nights of KDGE's Christmas craptacular, How The EDGE Stole Christmas? The radio station presents two nights of uninspiring rock and roll blands (no typo) just in time for the holidays. You know, there was a time, for about a year when it first started, that the Edge was totally blowing my mind. Then as the station became more popular, the list of songs in the rotation got smaller, and the word "alternative" became the most ironic descriptor in history. I've pretty much sworn off radio ever since. And bands such as 30 Seconds to Mars, Drowning Pool, Buckcherry and Plain White T's aren't doing a lot to bring me back to the airwaves. I mean, hate is a strong word, but I really, really, really don't like them. (Get it?) If you're looking to stuff your stocking with a long lineup of one-to-no-hit wonders who underwhelm, then you know where to go! KDGE steals Christmas two nights this week, beginning at 6 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday at Nokia Theatre, 1001 Performance Place in Grand Prairie. Tickets are $39.50 for Friday's show and $49.50 for Saturday's show. Visit kdge.com.
Fri., Dec. 8, 6 p.m.; Sat., Dec. 9, 3 p.m.
