No one should go through life without indulging in a juicy paperback packed with suspense and perhaps a heaving bosom or two. Literacy Instruction for Texas invited an expert--award-winning mystery author from McKinney, Deborah Crombie--to talk at the 9th Annual Champions of Literacy Luncheon. Crombie's novels follow Scotland Yard detectives Gemma James and Duncan Kincaid, who also spend a lot of time investigating one another in the bedroom. The chance to name a character in Crombie's next novel will be auctioned. The luncheon begins noon Thursday at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Dallas Love Field. Tickets are $95.
