We say: the phrase "killer of sheep." You think: rap metal band circa 1994, something Wes Borland would have been into before he met Fred Durst. Or maybe you're thinking more along the lines of an awesome epic epithet. Like a metaphor for a character's tendency to wipe out hordes of people who can't think for themselves. Something you'd like to tag on to the end of your name: Steve, Killer of Sheep. What you probably won't think of is the 1977 Charles Burnett film, Killer of Sheep, about Los Angeles' poverty-stricken black ghetto of Watts. Though a classic, it's never been internationally released until now. Killer shows this weekend at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, 3200 Darnell St. in Fort Worth. Showtimes are 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday, 5 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $5.50 to $7.50. Visit themodern.org.
