Crazy Horse Saloon

Crazy Horse Saloon & Dancehall is in the corner spot in a strip shopping plaza less than a mile outside of downtown Denton. Its website describes the 5-year-old saloon as a "honky-tonk college bar," but the saloon's drink specials, pool tables, dance floor and bar stools seem to attract more of a cowboy and biker crowd than the college bars closer to the square. There's a large hardwood dance floor surrounded by plenty of seating. Crazy Horse hosts karaoke on Tuesday and Thursday nights and live local bands, ranging from country and Western to rock 'n' roll, every Friday and Saturday night when they charge a $5 cover for 21 and up, and a $10 for under 21.
