Fair Park

Home of the famed State Fair of Texas, which draws 3 million fried-butter seekers each year, Fair Park covers nearly 300 acres just east of downtown Dallas. An official historic landmark, many of its art deco buildings date to the 1930s. It boasts nine museums, the biggest damn Ferris wheel you’ll likely ever see, an aquarium, a music hall that plays host to the Dallas Summer Musicals series and the Cotton Bowl. Besides the fair, it also hosts various events throughout the year like the rave-tastic Electric Daisy Carnival.
