Tokyo No Hana

At Tokyo Hana (in the old Royal Tokyo building, for longtime Dallasites), the hibachi is fun, but entrées at Tokyo Hana are, honestly, fair but not outstanding. What is outstanding, however, is the sushi lunch ($11.95 for 5 choices, a salad and a soup). Surrounding the chefs runs a conveyor belt of daily specials and popular maki and nigiri sushi. The fresh white tuna is a clean, light pick. The freshwater eel (unagi) isn't drowing in ponzu sauce-a rare and wonderful surprise. The chefs are animated and friendly, and if your favorite isn't one of the selections parading by you, feel free to ask. In fact, if you're leery of how long the fish has been traveling around the bend, special requests are an easy way to feel more at ease.
