Beach House's latest Sub Pop LP, Bloom, sounds like ...well, a Beach House album. Baltimore's Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally may have hit the pinnacle of Beach House-ness back on 2010's Teen Dream, which followed up two excellent Carpark releases that marked the duo's heavy-lidded, sleep-walking sound. On album number four, they continue to fine-tune that sound, making the case for bigger choruses and cleaner lines. Former Ponytail guitarist Dustin Wong opens with songs from his new Thrill Jockey LP, Dreams Say, View, Create Shadow Leads.
