Courtney Love, Starred Sunday, August 4, at House of Blues, $30-$50 Awwwww, shiiiiiit. Hold on to your butts.

Janiva Magness Saturday, June 22, at Poor David's Pub, $16.50-$18 Blues and soul artist Janiva Magness is only the second woman ever to have won the B.B. King Entertainer Of the Year award, the first being Koko Taylor.

Noelia Wednesday, June 26, at House of Blues, $22.50 Back in April, we told you about a strong force in the Latin community, Puerto Rican pop star Noelia, who has racked up 10 LatinBillboard Top 40 Hits and three Top 40 Billboard Dance Hits. Her show was rescheduled to June 26, instead of the original May 24 slot.

Smash Mouth, Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, Vertical Horizon, Fastball Wednesday, August 14, at Allen Event Center, $19.90 The golden age of alternative pop (the '90s) fostered five acts who are making their way to Allen this summer for The Under the Sun Tour, even though they be inside the cool, air-conditioned Allen Event Center.

Icona Pop Saturday, August 24, at House of Blues, $18-$25 Female Swedish DJ duo Icona Pop have made a mark on the indie electro scene since their debut in 2009. They released their debut record just six short months ago, if that says anything.

Bob Schneider Saturday, August 24, at Granada Theater, $21 Country/folk/rock 'n' roll man Bob Schneider was just in town not too long ago. If you missed him, catch him this time around at Granada.

Better Than Ezra Friday, August 30, at House of Blues, $24-$35 Who, you say? They wrote that song "Good." See the video above.

The Naked and Famous Tuesday, October 1, at House of Blues, $25-$35 The only thing The Naked and Famous have released since their 2010 breakthrough, LP Passive Me, Aggressive You, is a live album a few months back that is available for digital download only. I feel like they have something else up their sleeves.

James Blake Sunday, October 27, at House of Blues, $25-$35 I had to Google who this was, but if you already know and are interested, James Blake is coming this fall.
